WHY THIS EXISTS

Built to help someone find the next right step.

Lives Restored Co. exists to help people in recovery and reentry find trusted information, understand their options, and take the next right step toward stability, purpose, and long-term recovery.

SURVIVE • REVIVE • THRIVE was built around a simple belief: people deserve more than a list of phone numbers. They deserve clear choices, verified resources, practical guidance, and a way to keep moving forward—even when life interrupts them or they get knocked off course.

THE CREATOR STORY

This didn’t start in a boardroom.

It started with nearly thirty years of historical restoration masonry, a life marked by addiction, recovery and relapse, a desperate prayer asking God to use me, and one simple question: “Do you think you can help me write a book about my life?”

Elijah, Patrick, and N.E.R.D. — Me, Myself & N.E.R.D.

THE LENS AND THE TRAIL

GODSEYES helps us look back honestly.

Sometimes we have to look backward before we can understand the road in front of us. GODSEYES is a way of stepping back from immediate chaos, looking honestly at what happened, and noticing the people, decisions, consequences, opportunities and turning points we may not have understood while we were living them.

GODSEYES is the lens. BREADCRUMBS are what the lens helps us notice.

THE GODSEYES PRACTICE

THE COMPASS, NOT THE CODE

Following doesn’t require foreknowing.

We cannot know God’s entire plan or see the complete path ahead. We can learn to surrender the outcome, pay attention to what is actually happening, notice possible Breadcrumbs, test what we think they mean, take the next responsible step, observe what follows, and remain willing to correct our interpretation.

DON’T FORCE IT.I DON’T KNOW YET IS A VALID ANSWER.FOLLOWING DOESN’T REQUIRE FOREKNOWING.
SURRENDERRelease the demand that the outcome match what you want.
SEEWhat is actually happening?
NOTICEWhat stands out? What may deserve attention?
CONNECTWhat else in my life might this relate to?
TRUTH CHECKWhat do I know? What do I believe? What don’t I know yet?
DISCERNTest the interpretation against faith, values, reason, trusted counsel, boundaries, and reality.
ORIENTWhich direction responsibly makes sense from what I can actually see?
NEXT RIGHT STEPTake the next faithful, responsible action — not the imagined tenth step.
OBSERVEWhat happened after I acted?
CORRECTWas my interpretation right, partly right, or wrong? Do I need to change direction?
CONTINUEKeep walking.
GIVE IT AWAYHelp another person learn how to see their own trail without telling them what God intends for them.
SAFETY FIRST. MEANING LATER.

Sometimes there is not enough information, no responsible action is available yet, or the right move is simply patience. Action is not always required.

Sometimes your Breadcrumbs lead to a witch’s house.

What is this direction producing?

More: honesty · responsibility · compassion · service · humility · stability

Or more: obsession · ego · secrecy · harm · manipulation · chaos

This does not prove God’s will. It is another source of information for discernment.

A WAY BACK

When we get it wrong, we can return.

STOP → LOOK UP → FIND THE NEAREST SAFE BREADCRUMB → RETURN TO THE NEXT RIGHT STEP

A framework for direction is only useful if it also gives someone a way back when they get it wrong.

RETURN THE POWER OF CHOICE

GUIDANCE + INFORMATION + SUPPORT + CHOICE

SRT does not make decisions for a person. It helps restore the information, organization, guidance, and support needed to make responsible choices and follow through.

WAYFINDER helps a person see real options, understand what is known and unknown, narrow choices, identify the next realistic step, choose, and follow through.

The trail does not end with you.

What you learn is not complete when you merely understand your own trail. The practice comes full-circle when you use what you learned in service — not by handing someone your answers, but by helping them learn how to see, question, discern, and follow their own.

HOW THIS WAS BUILT

One lived problem. Three hands on the work.

Patrick brings the lived experience, recovery work and vision. Elijah helps organize story, strategy, research and continuity. N.E.R.D. handles technical building and runtime work. Together, the system grew from lived problems into connected tools designed to help another person take the next right step.

MY PROGRESS

Your progress is more than a list of favorites. This is where the resources you saved can become the next steps you actually follow through on.

Saved resources stay separate from your searches, location, recovery history, and personal notes.
